Show Notes: "White, Right-Wing Men Are the Face of Terror in America"

This week Don Lemon teamed up with Chris Cuomo on CNN to boldly go where no progressive broadcast network has gone before: Blaming the Ails of the World on Right-Wing White Men.

You can find the clip yourself, but Lemon says, “I keep trying to point out to people and not to demonize any one group or any one ethnicity. …we have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them. There is no travel ban on them. There is no ban on -- you know, they had the Muslim ban. There is no white guy ban. So, what do we do about that?”

I know, too much stupid to handle in one paragraph. No sooner did he suggest we shouldn’t demonize anyone, he demonized all white men who don’t vote Democrat.

Let’s just take this piece by piece then.

First, here is an essential Master Post for Gun Violence, Gun Control History, and the wholesale annihilation of all Authoritarian talking points on the issue: GUN CONTROL MASTER POST by: Revenant Rising

So, just dealing with whites, blacks, Hispanics, and Asians:

  • Whites make up 63.7% of the population and are 59.3% of mass shooters.

  • Blacks make up 12.2% of the population and are 14.8% of mass shooters.

  • Hispanics make up 16.4% of the population and are 7.4% of mass shooters.

  • Asians are 4.7% of the population and are 7.4% of mass shooters.

The majority of the population is white, so it makes sense that there would be more white shooters.  More white people means more white shooters.

Whites and blacks commit mass murder at a rate that’s roughly proportional to how we’d expect given the racial demographics of the United States.

If anything, whites are slightly underrepresented in mass shootings and blacks slightly over-represented. Hmm, uh-oh, Don.

In fact, the only people who are significantly over-represented in mass shootings compared to their population size are Asians (remember, the Middle-East is in Asia).

Hispanics are way underrepresented.

As far as political alignment of mass shooters, whereas they are mostly white, they are also mostly Atheist, Left-leaning, Fatalist kooks, of whom many are on SSRI drugs: Start here

The list above isn’t complete, there are people like Dylan Roof missing from there, but then again, some people like Dylan Roof, we never learned about their politics. We learned he was a White Identitarian lunatic who hated America…but he was racist and preferred the Confederate Flag over the Union Flag…so that’s all a progressive needs to build a story.

But there’s something else that Don and Chrissy would never spend any time on:

That’s The Media’s Influence on Mass Shooters.  Sure schooling is awful. Our culture is hopelessly materialistic and shallow.  Faith in anything outside of a Progressive is considered evil and oppressive so there’s less and less spiritual grounding… So the stage is already set for lots of problems…then you add the 24/7 Television coverage on top of it.

36 hours after a deadly incident, we know more about the shooter than we do our families. We’re reading their 3rd grade report cards, we’re hearing from ex-girlfriends

And yes, it’s partially because if it bleeds it leads…we are a rubbernecking species. When one side of traffic is halted because of an accident the other side is halted because they want a front-row seat for the clean-up. But nowadays, it’s not just the ratings bonanza…it’s a political weapon.

Red Blooded America compiled a fantastic post on Tumblr: How the Media Helps Killers Inspire Killers

You need to sift though that link, which also contains dozens of studies on the correlation between mass murders and media coverage, But here is a short explanation of a longer explanation by forensic psychiatrist Dr. Park Dietz:

I mean, it’s the same logic used by sports networks to prevent fans from streaking across the outfield during a baseball game. They use logic for controlling a benign crowd at Yankee Stadium, but they throw it out the window when lives and political narratives at risk.

It’s also responsible for our racial tensions… I’ll play this clip of Morgan Freeman forever:

The media created or exacerbates trends by making conflict fashionable and profitable, and then they report on it as if they’re concerned for our future.
